Biography of Kenneth Madison
Kenneth Madison is a seasoned finance professional with over 21 years of experience in finance, insurance and business acquisitions (purchasing four businesses himself including three insurance agencies and a bowling alley), business strategy and deal negotiations. Kenneth has also started several business ventures which he works on to this day including designer clothes, premium soaps and habitational business financing (rental properties). Throughout his career, he has established himself as an expert in business valuation, buy-side and sell-side due diligence, and corporate development.
Kenneth graduated from the University of Connecticut (Storrs) with a Bachelor of Science in 1990 and a Master's of Business Administration (concentration in Finance) in 1992. Kenneth's career began at Konica Minolta in 1993 (a year out of college), where he worked his way up to as a Senior Financial Analyst until 2008 when the company (Konica Business Technologies) completed its merger with Minolta and the position was moved to Ramsey, New Jersey. During this time, he was responsible for corporate financial reporting including planning, actuals and prior year comparisons, and as result gained experience in every department from finance, sales, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, internal auditing and accounting.
After [and during] his time at Konica Minolta, Kenneth also owned and worked at Alliance Insurance as an independent agent for 20 insurance companies from 1996 to the present. Feel free to ask any insurance question!
Originally from central Connecticut (born in Hartford), Kenneth now calls East Hartford, Connecticut (5 miles away) his home. He is eager to use his expertise to help sellers of businesses find the right buyer and buyers of businesses to find the right business to purchase.
